We want to raise awareness regarding predatory/fake conferences – especially among inexperienced young researchers, who are frequently targeted by predatory/fake conference organizers. Do not fall victim to them: educate yourself (Beall’s list and ScholarlyOA), use good judgment, and if in doubt, ask your university librarian.

An organization known as “WASET” is a well-known (see: Wikipedia) predatory academic publisher, that “organizes” conferences with names copied from actual conferences organized by reputable scientific groups and organizations.

They are now claiming to organize ICUAS 2023 in May 2023 in Amsterdam (no link here, for obvious reasons). On behalf of ICUAS Association, we would like to tell you that this is fake.

Please ignore them and inform your colleagues and students about WASET (more info on wasetwatch.wordpress.com) and other potential predatory journals and conferences.

The next edition(s) of real ICUAS conference(s) will be linked from the official ICUAS Association web site and use the registered Internet domain uasconferences.com.
